Leather Seats

any recommendations on cleaning product and cleaning techniques for leather seats? This is my first car with tan interior (normally get black so don't notice as much) and the seats are turning bluish due to my jeans. It's hard to see in the photo and just appears dirty but it has a blue hue to it. I've only had the car for a few months and it was like new when I purchased it. Thanks in advance.

I have a similar problem with the MB-Tex driver's seat left bolster in my W212. Bluejean stain for sure. I've tried MB leather care and it hasn't helped. So I'm looking for advice on this, too.

.
I highly recommend Meguiar’s Ultimate Leather Detailer. It cleans, conditions and protects leather.

You don’t have leather seats bubba, that’s MB Tex. Leather has horizontal stitching, MB Tex is verticle. You can use just about anything, it’s vinyl, nothing will hurt it.

I've got the same problem on my 220D and just a few months of use and looks terrible I've bought Gliptone (lequid leather) products on Ebay (base cleaner, protector and sealant). But i will use them after the winter season, which has just started here and it will be pointless to do it now. I'm cleaning the blue prints from jeans for now only with antibacterial napkins and i'm using water wipes from my baby after that It keep the seat clean (not 100%) but for now this is the best i can do. If you can't find the products of Gliptone, use Chemical Guys Leather Cleaner and Conditioner, it's also a good product. On my W164 i use only them and Poorboy's World products.

AGREE WITH UA549 MEGUIAR'S LEATHER CLEANER, I HAVE USED IT. BUT THE STAINS WILL NOT COME OUT TOTALLY. WE HAD SIMILAR CONDITION ON OUR CLK 550 WITH GREY INTERIOR….

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
On both my cars, My S class with Designo Leather and on my E450 Wagon with the MBtex I use Resolve Spray and wash cleaner meant for the laundry but it seems to work good and have not had any negative effects using it the past couple of years. I've also used the spray and wash Oxy clean with similar results, I'll bet both those product would get a lot of that dirt and blue jean dye out although it does look you have your work cut out for you, lots of scrubbing.

thanks for clarifying that for me. Sorry this is my first Mercedes. Would you recommend a leather cleaner then or does it even really matter?

I'd start with a microfiber towel and warm water. If needed (though messy) add dish soap.

Nah you just need to lift the blue dye. Dampen a rag with warm water and wipe until it comes off. You could put a spray of vinegar on the rag. The dye just stuck to the seat, it needs a little moisture and heat to lift it away. You could even let the rag sit on the bad spots for a min or 2 to loosen it up.
