2021 exhaust outlet trim
Just watched a video walk-around on the 2021 E class. Apparently the exhaust outlet trim is all show for 2021 - no actual exhaust outlet there. The exhaust outlet is actually the pipe turndown under the car- inboard of the rear of the car.
I like that idea as I wouldn't have to try to keep the trim clean anymore. YMMV.

2023 GLE450, 2021 E350 / Used to drive: 2019 E300, 2021 + 2020 GLE350, 2019 E450 Wagon(s), 2017 E300
Same in GLE350 - I would prefer to keep the exhaust clean than to have fake outlets.

Usually this depends on the engine spec. For instance, on the GLE, it is just a trim piece on the 350 model, but the 450 has actual exhaust holes. I wonder if this is the same for the E350 vs E450

My E450 has fake exhaust outlets. The dual mufflers have downturn pipes about a foot ahead of the rear bumper.

Ah, watching Autogefuhl again. One of Thomas's pet peeves, like leather interiors. Personally, I like the disconnect between the exhaust and the trim. Means there is one less thing to clean. And as for leather interiors, you get a nice looking luxurious interior from what is in reality a by-product.
