Have had my 2017 E300 for a 2 years. Mostly have a short commute to work and drive weekends. Recently noticed the stop start feature is not working. The button on center console it lit green. When coasting like before the "max charge" goes green momentarily. What could be the issue? Is it a voltage converter that needs replacing?

 

You should be thankful. What an annoying feature. Any money you think you're saving in gas will be spent tenfold later when your battery prematurely wears out from all the extra cranking.
