Occasionally a symbol will pop up on my nav system map. It's a white + with a blue background located directly above the red arrow showing my current location.

What is that + symbol? What does it mean? What causes it to pop up?

Fired up my mobile, and according to Google Lens, it's a "blue sea star". I kid you not...

Highlight and then click it. It should allow you to move around the map and zoom as well.

Resurrecting thread. Anyone know what this is?

It just happened to me today on a half-sporty country drive this morning. I tried pressing it and nothing happened. Not sure why it popped up then subsequently disappeared a few min later.

EDIT: I had tried pressing it directly on the touch screen, maybe I had to hold it down to drag map around, or do it via trackpad.
