E53 Quad Exhuast

Hi everyone, hope you're all staying sane and safe.

I recently got into a rear-end accident (dude didn't stop and plowed right into me). Insurance paid for the bumper and the repairs, but I took a check instead and thought i'd order the parts myself since i like the way the quad tips look like on the E53 AMG's. I ordered them on Ebay from a Chinese company and surprisingly, the quality is just as good as OEM. However, i need a little help on installing this thing. Looking at some Youtube videos it looks pretty straight forward. But was wondering if anyone has installed or replaced their existing rear valence and exhaust pipes? Does anyone have any instructions on how to do this?

Any info would be very helpful! I'll post pictures after I figure it out.

Thanks!

Yes, please provide the link. Also, what are you driving now that you are going to put this on?

I’m looking to do a similar conversion. Curious to know how the install went, also the website where you purchased the kit from.

Regarding the statement “quality just as good as OEM” I think you should thread lightly… what the chinese are known for, is to make things look as good as the original - but you need to know that in order for the chinese to make these copy products so cheap - they really use the cheapest of materials that will fool the eye.

OEM uses same standards as original - chinese copies does not.

Eventhough it says made in china on both products, theres a big difference on something approved by Mercedes(or any other) standard or something copied.

but besides that, good luck with the project

Update on the install and parts:

Been almost 2 years since i've installed the tips and diffuser. They're still looking like they were just put on after 2 winters in New England being coated with salt and the cold/hot weather (New England weather is terrible in my opinon).

I've ordered the parts off of EBay. I honestly don't know what the link was as i've bought it a long time ago.

Install was easy. Just remove old tips and diffuser and reinstall new ones. You'll use zip ties if you dont have a rivet gun (highly recommend you use one though).

I am not sure that "AMG" exhaust tips will fit the standard E53 diffuser setup. One made by Autunik (based out of Hong Kong) is a very close fit to an actual E53 exhaust tip setup... and its the one installed on mine... pics below.

Looks good : ) and glad to see you are one of (the rare) few that kept the badges after changing to the E 53 exhaust tips.
