Tire size change W213 2017 E300

I have the AMG 19" wheels currently all tires are 245 40 R19s. Can I change the rear tires to 275 35 R19 and still keep same speedometer calibration/accuracy? No more rotating tires I know but my w211 E350 was like that.

.
275/35R19 have a diameter of 26.6" (783 revs/mile) while the 245/40R19 have a diameter of 26.7" (778 revs/mile). The speedometer will not be accurate but the difference is small.

Would changing the rears to 275 40 R19 be better?

Yes and no. Yes because it is non-issue regarding speedo (as was mentioned above) - E43&E53 (AWD) use this setup. No because your current rear wheel is 8" wide which 275/35-19 tire won't fit - you will need a minimum of 9" wide wheel.

Tire Rack.com provided the 275 35 R19 as an optional tire for my 19" wheels. But your advising they won't fit on the wheel I have?

TireRack does not know what's on your car now. Your square setup from factory is 8" wide wheels all around. Yes 245/40-19 and 275/35-19 IS an option provided correct width wheels are used. If you call them and ask if you can fit 275/35-19 on 8" wide rim - they will say you need minimum of 9" wide wheel.
