2018 E300 4Matic Sport
So what have you done to your E-class?

As I mentioned, I just got a 2018 E300 4Matic Sport model. It's pretty loaded, but there's always a few nice things I enjoy getting, upgrading, etc. I am more of an aesthetics/interior guy than an engine/mechanical kind of guy, but I would love to hear what upgrades others have done.

I always "de-badge" my car. Other than that, I was thinking of getting those "studded" sport pedals. Any lighting upgrades (interior lights)? Anything aesthetic for the exterior? Interior? Just curious, what mechanical upgrades have you done?

Looking forward to hearing from others. Thanks in advance.

i have it de-baged too

i only install 2 DUAL dashcams (the rear cams of each set serve as side cams, creating a 360° view)

oh and of course i put a rolling stones tongue sticker on it :-) (bottom middle of the rear window)

I lease and I have done nothing. Car must be returned "stock'.

Actually I am 100% satisfied with my E450. No improvements necessary!

These are mod's ive seen people do here, nothing myself. I've seen pulling parts from the 43/53 and 63. The diamond grill, quad exhaust tips, wheels. Someone installed the LCD screen to replace the needle cluster. Burmester side speakers replace the upper door black mesh speaker. And of course a tune. I think it would be cool to pull the seats out of the 63. I wonder if anyone has installed the air suspension to replace a steel set up. With cars nowadays most mods are offered by the manufacturer. Why not hold out for a few year old 43/53, get a great deal with all the mods already done?

If it's the same one I've seen, I kind of like that diamond grill. Is that the one with the "chrome-color studs" across the grill? When you say 43/53/63, you are referring to the AMG model(s), right? The full blown AMG is a lot of car for me, LOL. I don't drive fast, don't need or want that much power, etc. I like some of the "looks" and that's why I like the AMG features on this one. Thanks.

That's a cool idea! Is it possible? I've read about people changing some interior lights, but not specifically the cabin lights. Great idea though! So can it be done? Thanks.

I have no idea if it can be done, but would dearly love to know also.

I'd presume that all of the chatter you've read about modding interior lighting has to do with the ambient lighting system, and not the cabin lights.

I had heated rear seats added, also a simple discreet double USB plug in the 9V receptacle in the back seat and street legal tint.

2020 E450 Wagon
I have a white E450 wagon. Planning to black vinyl wrap all the chrome trim pieces to black vinyl so make it a true black and white styled car. As soon as I took delivery I had PPF done on the entire hood, front bumper, front fenders and the head lights. Living in Texas, I also did a 30% all-around ceramic tint to keep the interior cooler during our hot summers. I also purchased the OEM mirror caps for my car but in black to begin the black white theme.

Yes, I am guessing ambient lighting. I don't remember the specifics, pictures posted, etc. I do think I remember someone modifying the cabin lighting (different color) though, but like I said, I really don't remember. It was not recent and it was on another forum. Sorry wish I could help more. The ambient lighting covers what -- the dome lights and what else? Thanks.

Dash cam front and rear, puddle lights into the MB logo on all 4 doors and a tow bar....

Not to forget about the air freshener and lots of sweets and chewing gums in middle storage compartment

I like the diamond grill, and might consider getting that. As far as wheels, other than the AMG wheels/tires, which I had before, and ended up being a royal pain, yes, I might like to get some new wheels. Not really sure. I don't need/want a full-blown AMG, but I've always enjoyed the way it looks! Thanks!

Did you get that done? Any pictures? Where are the puddle lights located actually? Thanks!

That is sooooooooo cool!!! And it's even cooler you did the install yourself! Me, I open the door! LOL.

Side note -- your illuminated cabin lights (the blue light) -- they seem very bright and pronounced. Mine aren't like that. Is that an add-odd/option kind of thing? Thanks again!

Thank you. I did the dash cam myself as well.

There should be a brightness level setting, so maybe yours is turned down.

velryba -- I looked around ebay and couldn't find these for my 2018 E300 4Matic Sport. Would you know a quality, reliable MB vendor where I could buy these?

Do I need certain features/options on my car in order to get these? Thanks again...and really great job on your car!!!

Anyone get a roof/rear-window spoiler? Something like this?

I bought them from ebay. For the price I did not really worried and it worked out great.

Cannot find the listing I bought it from any more, but it was similar to this, if not the same.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154369883472

Mind you, this is ebay in UK.

I have also saw it somewhere as original MB, but for some silly money.

Thanks! I appreciate the insight. I think I am going to order them from a US-based seller. If I try to install them myself, at least two doors will fall off my car! LOL. Thanks again!

I waxed my E class with new high tech paint preservative coating. You don't know how large the car is until you wax and then polish all that painted metal.

After three years, my car has come off lease and I have decided to keep it, so I waxed my car with
Roll over image to Zoom

Meguiar's Cleaner Wax.

I then applied Meguiar's hybrid ceramic car wax: https://www.target.com/p/meguiars-24.../-/A-83824515?

Every 3 to 4 months I reapply the hybrid ceramic wax which takes less than 1 minute.

Car is like showroom new.

Total cost under $30. Total time 2 to 3 hours, then a few minutes every 3 to 4 months with the ceramic hybrid wax.

Just my $.02
