Engine Sound Question on V6 Bi-turbo
Greetings,
Comments appreciated. I'm new to the "400" V6 Bi-turbo engine, actually all turbo engines.
Few days ago on a very quiet night, I took a drive with both windows down. When I came to a stop sign I noticed that when I decelerated, I heard a sort of hissing "diesel" like (but quieter) sound from the engine. When I came to a full stop, I only heard the engine idle. I accelerated - no noise, then decelerated and I heard the sound again until I came to a full stop. No rattles, shakes, vibrations, jerking, etc. - only that sound. Did not notice on busy streets.
I watched some car reviews on youtube and heard the same sound. I guess this is normal, but what the hell is it? Turbo spooling down??
