Need a Fob/Key

I lost one of the key/fob what is the best (cost effective) way to replace it?

I don't know of a source outside of the dealership and they aren't cheap. Replacement fobs are intentionally hard to get.

And then they must be programmed, which I think only the dealer can do.

At the end of a lease, if you do not have two keys, there is an added substantial expense.

BTW, often the key is left in the car. Here is an idea: leave your key in the house far away from the car. Go to the car and see if it starts. If it does, then you know the lost key is in the car.
