POWER STEERING MALFUNCTION
Gents, I got a E300 2017 that all of a sudden displayed the steering malfunction and at the same time the steering wheel stated oscillating at a rate of 5 to 10 oscillations per second and a rattling noise. There was a recall of earlier models, but not this
year and forward for the same issues. Looked for a fuse to disconnect, but seems like MB decided not to use a fuse for this system on the W213's. I wonder if any of you have had the same issues and what was the remedy! The vehicle can drive with all this noise and shaking at the steering wheel..!
Thanks for sharing your wisdom..!

AJ, the issue on my daughter's 2017 E300 was terrible...the steering wheel started shacking and noisy. Power steering turning was kind of hard. No easy fix but replacing the power steering motor assy. At least yours works after 10 minutes, but this may be the beginning of a permanent problem.
Took it to the "stealer". Thanks God we have this "Extended warranty policy" which covered the problem. The fix was $3800 ..! Only the replacement part was $2700...! So, good luck my friend....load up that credit card and pay in installments!
I am glad my SL has hydraulic power steering which is just a cheap pump!
