Feel free to go back to dealer to get it fixed. Alternatively, we can help you fix it too.

1. This didn't happen before of your wash, it finished your LED by the wash.
2. The module on the bottom of the lights are sealed however water can get past the seal through the plug connector.
3. Benz is aware of this and normally would install a desiccant cage with desiccant bags inside the lights.
4. If you have these already installed, then you need to have them serviced by Benz or you need to keep on top of this and service it yourself as the desiccant will leak and cause LED problems.
5. If the bottom module has been damaged it may also damage the second module used to aligning the LEDs. In this case you will need to have both modules replaced plus have the desiccant cage and bags installed (if not already).
6. In my 2022, I will being doing this update to my headlights if they have not been done already because this happened in my C-Class. It cost $1200.00 where as $800.00 of it were the module cost. $600 for the bottom module and $200 for the second small module at that the back of the lights.
7. I worked out a deal with Benz since they have to remove the bumper and it takes 1-2 hours or so to program the module.
8. Do not order new headlights unless your LEDs are dead and I mean dead as you will be looking at over $3000 per highlight and that will not even include any modules.
9. If you can find the modules on Market Place or eBay, you first need to remove your module to see the A number on it to make sure you have the correct module.
10. If you are not good at taking your car apart to see the part numbers, then bring the car to Benz and don't worry about it, they will fix it and bill you.
Good Luck

Those error messages, “Intelligent Light System inoperative”, “Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus inoperative”, and “Left dipped beam defective”, almost always point to the LED control module failing on that side.
Here’s what you can try:
- Check for moisture – Pop the left headlamp cover and look for any water or fog inside. If you spot some, let it dry fully before testing again.
- Inspect connectors – Unplug and replug the main headlight connector; sometimes water or corrosion there causes the system to shut down.
- LED control module – If drying and cleaning don’t help, it’s probably the LED driver that’s gone bad. This is a small unit that controls the dipped beam, high beam, and adaptive functions.
You can find a replacement here:

It’s the same part many owners have replaced to fix exactly these symptoms. - Diagnostic reset – After repair, clear the fault codes using STAR or a good OBD tool, the light system should come back to life.
Hope that helps you get it sorted quickly!
