Trunk reopening by itself

Trunk reopening by itself
with car itself NOT locked yet, i opened the trunk and then closed it with the button on the trunk lid.
lid closed completely, but then reopened by itself.
I did this 3 times.
The 4th time I pushed the "lock all" button & trunk closed normally
Nothing was blocking it, I didn't accidentally push the button on the car key, nor did i kick under the rear bumper...
Is this a known issue ?

Had this issue on my R231 SL550, in that instance it is related to the diminished gas struts for the trunk lid. Perhaps a similar scenario for you?

trunk really locked itself (with key in hand), before opening completely again.
And it did lock permenatly when i pushed the "lock all button"
diminished gas struts: my car is new so i doubt this would be it ...?
Unless heat could have something to do with it ? (summer's not even here yet and it's already 35+ c)
