I bought a new E220d in 2018. After 30 months, I noticed a dot appear in the COMAND Touchpad through no misuse. After 38 months, it became a crack [see below] and I then reported the issue.
Mercedes do not wish to replace free of charge, only because I am outside the warranty period, despite the attached bulletin suggesting a manufacturing fault. Wish to charge £600 / 750 USD.
I created a case with the Ombudsman and they rejected my claim, stating the bulletin does not apply to my vehicle. How do I prove that my E220d 2018 car is the W213?I notice my chassis number begins with WDD213.
I am in the United Kingdom and the car came with a 36 month warranty. I had only done 18k miles at the time of reporting
