Malfunction alert - 2021 All Terrain
I was stopped at a traffic light yesterday and all of a sudden the vehicle shut off with a 3" square notice on the dash screen stating "Malfunction". All of the 'Xmas lights' were on the dash as well. Trying not to panic with all the cars behind me waiting, I just pushed in the Park button and then the Start button and the vehicle went back to normal and drove on. The vehicle has about 4500 KM, it was about 80F. I immediately drove to the dealer and asked if they could pull up a Xentry error report and they were too busy to do that. So I thought the folks on the trusty forum might have an idea about what happened. Any thoughts? I dread this happening again in a very precarious situation.

OP, could you recall if the malfunction was shown in a yellow or red font? That would likely help us figure out what it might be while you wait for your dealership to schedule you and the vehicle in the check up.

2019 E450 Wagon
My 2019 E450 is going in to the dealer Tuesday for the same thing. Happened twice the same day. Would shut off instead of coming out of Auto Start/Stop. Since then I've been hitting the button to turn off the Auto Start/Stop every time I started the car. So, hasn't happened since. But, we'll see if they can find anything. I't's been 3 weeks, this was the earliest they could get me in!
