Has anyone faced issues with electric power steering on thier 2018 E300?

2018 E300 preminum + auto intelligent package w. 61k miles.

According to a computer scan result from my mechanic, the car I'm about to acquire has an electric power steering malfunction.
But nothing directly from the car dashboard or noticeable from driving, so there is nothing anyone can do ATM.

Depending on the source of the problem, an extended warranty( (1 year or 31k mile left) might not cover it in the future.

Should this stop me from getting this car?

If using Xentry (MB diagnostics) code will clearly identify problem and provide diagnostic assistance. If not, find independent who has it to erase all existing codes and run a quick test. MBUSA released 3 bulletins, Service Campaign, and Recall that may be applicable. Have local MB dealer check Vehicle Maintenance Inquiry (VMI) to see if SC and/or Recall applies to your VIN if outstanding both are covered free out of warranty/unlimited mileage. Bulletins are not covered out of factory warranty (4 years/50,000 miles) but should suffice for coverage under extended warranty. If you want MB data card provide VIN.

Thank you. I did see the letters that you attached for me. It says 2012-2017 models but this car 2018. I guess I should still ask, just in case.
