Many, many years ago, like 30 to 40, I had no trouble wiggling myself into tight spaces, on my back to do work in my car. Today at my age, if I can get into the space to work - I can no longer get out! I will have to call my wife to pull me out!

So keep this in mind if you elect to do this change of filter yourself

With regard to the filter in the engine:

Be aware if you have the V6 as I do in my E450, the changing of the filter is far, far more complicated.
