Recommended aftermarket scissor jack??

Just looking for one that is compatible with our jacking points. Modernspare has a kit but the scissor jack is only rated for 1.5 tons.

1.5 tons should be OK...you are only lifting part of the car...

MB OEM jack part number is B6685079128.

I would invest in a 4 ton bottle jack before I bought a scissor jack... Just as compact , but less difficult to use. Amazon has dozens to choose from.

Use a hockey puck for the jacking point if you think it necessary.

Instead of a bottle jack or scissor jack, I would get a floor jack (a/k/a trolley jack). I've used a floor jack for years on several different cars and I've been happy with it. You can get one for as little as $40. I have a ProLift floor jack that came with a case which is handy for storage.

appreciate the suggestion and research but i already have a floor jack in my garage. It’s so heavy! I just want something for emergency use after having a bad experience this weekend. I will already be compromising trunk space with a donut spare. I just want a light scissor jack i can mount to the inside of the spare and be done.

If someone wants a scissors jack, I presume it's for emergency use only. At home under controlled conditions, I would never use a scissors jack, but a floor jack. All of this has been clarified by OP.

For emergency use on the highway, I would still use a bottle jack over a scissors jack any day of the week. And they make some bottle jacks no larger than a scissors jack that would easily fit within the spare wheel.

In truth, you would want to make sure that a bottle jack was the largest possible (that fits from ground to jack point) but still fits stored within the spare wheel. JMO.

I bought a scissor jack for emergency purposes with oversized feet for added stability.

Appreciate everyone’s input. I decided to go with the modern spare kit after talking to the engineer who helped design the kit for the W213. Price is a bit high but seems to have a high quality tested product. Canceled my ez-spare and switched to modern spare as well. 32lb vs 51lb and higher speed rated tires made me switch to them.
