Faulty Low Beam and Active Headlamps Inoperative

I've searched the forum and some causes can be...
  1. Faulty motor
  2. Dirty windshield sensor (clean)
  3. Blown fuse (none)
When I was checking the fuses, I saw that the top of the adjustment screw for the left and right side motor was different in that the left side was missing the black cap that is present on the right side. Coincidentally the left side is the one with the fault. Is it possible that that missing or broken too piece is the cause? This is on a 2017 E43 AMG. Anyone able to confirm if their headlights adjustment screws look the same or different from mine?
