E400 Wagon
Help w/purchase of spare tire

Hi all and hope you can help. I have a 2018 E400 4Matic wagon with 19" wheels (245/40 19) and have the opportunity to purchase a collapsible spare with the following size details: Five lug pattern, rim is a 5.5 X 19 with ET 13 and the tire size on rim is 185/65 19 104P. Will this fit/work on the car? Thanks

I found the MB part # for the spare, 164 401 2702. Will this fit my 2018 E400 4Matic?

I have 19" AMG's on my car as well...i got the 185/65/18. If you figure 65mm - 1 inch makes approx. 40mm. So it matches the ride height exactly of the 245/40/19's that are on the car.....

I actually still have it sitting in a box in the garage. never opened it....figured I'll open it when I need to take it on a long road trip or something....

Thanks for the feedback TresX, I will pull the trigger on the purchase. Same agenda for me, insurance for any long road trips.

Welp…had a flat this weekend and figured I’d use the spare until I get a new tire shipped over…turns out the spare I got that came from an R Class 195/75/18 will not work with the W213 as the calipers are too big and it rubs the spare rim. So if you do get a spare…make sure you get the one specifically for the car…and don’t forget the short bolts =)

TresX, sorry to hear your spare did not work out for you, but I do appreciate passing along the info on caliper size and shorter lugs. I will do a bit more checking on the rim I found before buying it. All the best and thanks for sharing your experience. Bruce
