Parking Brake
I hate the squealing when the parking brake is automatically engaged. Dealer says it is normal.

is there any way to disable it so it is not automatically put on?

Hold the parking brake switch under the head light switch back before you turn off the ignition. You have to do this each time you shut off the car because it always defaults to on.

Unfortunately I don't think it can be turned off permanently. I just got in the habit of turning it off when shutting off the car. My 2019 E450 and 2022 GLC have the same feature. Some of the new technology is a nuisance.

Agree,

I wonder if someone has an OBD module that specifically disables it like how they have a module to disable auto start/stop on start-up for example.

My 2014 W222 had the "new style" electric parking brake that did not engage automatically. All our later models do it automatically. I'm sure someone experienced can have the car version coded with vediamo or DTS monaco to change it to manual. Perhaps Benz ninja?
