2019 e 300d Estate
Hi. Bought my second hand E 300d in june 2022. Having had only new e class ( 5 so far) thought i would change my old 350cdi.. Due various other committments only now done a long run from my home in France to Xavia in Spain. Fully loaded I was amazed at the economy. First stage to Pamplona average 103 kph and 5.7 litres( 49.4 mpg) 645 kilometres. Second stage to Xavia 502 kilometres 100kph and 5.1 litres ( 55..3 mpg).
Have to say this new 2 litre engine is superb. Smooth quiet and powerful.
The various road tests never do the car justice, In typical MB style always understated. Even the boot doesn’t take into account the soace under the floor tray. Which is bigger than some cars boot in itself,
But the economy blew me away. I mean 0 to 100 in 6.1 secs , 155 mph 9 gears and capable of over 55 mpg.
Yes a fan but this is a great every day car.
Have to say this new 2 litre engine is superb. Smooth quiet and powerful.

Wife's trip computer on the 2021 200d often shows less than 4 litres for relatively short trips to work (although lower speed than you had on this trip).
Does the 2019 E300d have the mild hybrid system (the 21 200d does not)? Seems it is coming to all diesels.
