Help please! Limp mode

Hello everyone

I own a 2017 E300 with 99K miles on it and I’ve been having a problem for a while now, when I accelerate my car and push hard on the gas pedal my check engine light comes on flashing for about 5 seconds (limp mode) but then my check engine light would just stay on without flashing and my car would hesitate so much. When I stopped my car and turned it off for about 20 minutes and turned it back on everything comes back fine with no issues!

I scanned my car with OBD Scanner but got no errors

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I’ve had this problem for more than a year and I can’t accelerate all the way because I’m scared it would come back.

Wow having this go on for over a year was probably not the best idea. There is also no way your car doesn't show any codes with a CEL on, your OBD scanner is either not working or a showpiece. I would suggest taking the car to some place like autozone and they will read the codes and give you a printout of them for free. Also, have you changed or checked your spark plugs?

I scanned it a while ago and it gave me a code about oil solenoid or oil pump valve, something like that.. but I don’t think that have something to do with my problem.

I changed my spark plugs a year ago or more and I don’t recall how many miles I’ve did on it.

Any other possible causes or fixes?

I suddenly found a picture of my odometer after I changed my spark plugs, I’ve driven 24k miles on the plugs.

Should I change it or it still got some miles left?

Hi and sorry to hear about your problem.
I'm not a mechanic, but an issue with an oil pump could have everything to do with that.
The more you press the accelerator, the more oil pressure would be in the engine.
If you have oil error, the computer is stopping you to damage the engine........

Just my 2p....

Could be low oil pressure shutting you down but did this started after you replace the plugs yourself?

The thing is the code that I’ve gotten is P06DA00
and after searching for causes and fixes of this code on the site I found people say to ignore it in fact some people say don’t try to fix it, it will cause other problems to your engine

and I found MB xentry told to ignore this on the M274 engine..

And it’s not related to the check engine light!

Nope, the issue started before..
And after changing the plugs it stopped for some months and it came back much worse.

I haven’t changed my coils yet on my car since I bought it, could it be from it?
