Happens every now and then.
i get the error message and the park button in the middle console lights up red (Cameras work).
it will stay like this until the next restart of the car.

It seems (though not sure) that it happens when i don't drive away immediately, for instance:
I put it in drive and then in park again (without having driven).
Or i put in forward drive (without driving) and then in reverse.

It's not a huge problem, but just wanted to see if others have experienced this?

I have the same E300de AMG-Line as you, same year, and have the same issue. When starting the car, I randomly get the error message and the light in the centre console but the parking sensors and the Parktronic stop working. Again, it doesn't happen that often and I never use Parktronic but if you are going on a long trip, you can forget that your parking sensors are inoperative and, on your arrival, run the risk of crunching your car against something when parking. Sometimes I find that, if I switch off the car completely, i.e. open and close the driver's door wait for both displays to go blank, the fault does not appear on restart. I reported this to my dealer at my last A service. They said that they did a general vehicle software update and that might clear it. However, it didn't. They now want me to book the car back in with them and said that they'll try a firmware update on the relevant control module. I won't have a chance to do this for a couple of months but will let you know if it is successful.

yes a restart always seems to fix the problem..
i'll take it up with dealer on next service, but that will be in about 4-5 months.
