2019 E 300 4matic 2013 SLK 250
JAWS!
The trunk closer on my 2019 E300 slams shut like a shark devouring its prey or a guillotine. It makes a very loud BAM! My W212 wasn’t like that. Is it really supposed to slam shut like that or is there an adjustment that can be made?

I don't think it's supposed to SLAM! like that. I'm on my second W213 (pre and post FL) and they both "soft close" at the last minute. I wish I could tell you what's wrong but it sounds like something mechanical.

The lid on my '18 E300 is very quiet when it closes. If I'm in the car with the A/C on I can't hear it close.
Have you changed the open/close swing by holding the lid while it is opening?

I wonder if it is a software thing then for some that have it close faster and others softer/slower. Does coupe/cabriolet/sedan close at a different speed as well? Pre-facelift vs facelift?
