Lightbulb Best way to attach lights to the inside of a E300 grill?

Hello W213 section of MBWorld,

A friend of mine wants to mount lights on the inside of his grill (the grill looks like this and the lights look like this). Ideally, it would be very discrete when the lights are off and should look relatively natural. I'll be actively checking the thread for the next couple of weeks, thanks.

If where the lights point to doesn't matter much (like flashing red lights or strobe lights), then you might want to try using cable ties or so-called zip ties. I should mention that certain color lights may only be used on certain emergency vehicles, so you might want to check what color can be used in your jurisdiction. For example, in NYS, I believe you can only have red lights or white lights in front on police cars, ambulances and fire vehicles. Amber lights can be used in the front of any vehicle.

Virtually every car has white lights on the front such as the W213 DRLs. Older cars have white flashers and white turn signals on the front.

Yeah legality aside, I'd never put such weird **** on my MB, but anyways it should be legal around.

I would not install lights behind the grille at all. Especially the ones linked in the OP.

everyone has their own perspective and so does your friend!

to me those extra lights look terrible and will spoil the overall looks... see these as a crisis over identity!
