My 2022 E350's accelerator pedal gives me a gear shift kick-down with a press half way to the floor. Most of the time I'm ok with the gear I'm in , I just want to accelerate , but not as violent as the kickdown and rev up that I get. My preference is , if I mash it, yes, give me the lower gear and let the revs go to redline. Is there a way for the dealer to tweak the accelerator pedal position sensor to be a little less aggressive? It's embarrassing when I have passengers and the tranny downshifts and engine goes to 4K when I just want to make the engine work a little harder in the gear i'm currently in?

Change your drive mode from comfort to Eco that should do the trick. You’ll have to do that though every time after you start the car though as it will default to comfort every time.

If you're really into "pedal feel", you may want to consider an aftermarket throttle tuner. I had a Pedal Commander on my W205 and it was easy to install and worked great. I was able to adjust it to where the throttle action was more like a 1:1 old school mechanical throttle cable. They have many, many adjustments that allow you to get the feel and action you want.
