2020 E350 Battery replacement

The 2020 E350 uses an H8 size battery. The Mercedes part number 001-982-82-08 is identical to a standard H8 AGM battery. I used a Duralast platinum H8 AGM Battery from AutoZone with a 3yr replacement warranty. Walmart sells the Everstart Platinum H8 AGM Battery for $179 with a 4yr replacement warranty. The Mercedes wants $375 for the OEM Battery, I saved $100 doing it myself. It is fairly easy to change. I didn't use any aux power amd just disconnected it. The only thing that you lose is the clock which is set by satellite as soon as it powers on again.
to a good installation video. Be careful to place some insulating tape on the diagonal cross member brace if you energize the car as done in the video or you will short out when the positive terminal touches the crossmember brace. The battery weighs about 60 pounds. It is in a difficult location for some people to lift with one arm. You may need a second person to help get it out and back in.
