2018 E300

Hello

I own a 2018 e300 with the amg appearance package. I'm possibly buying a house out in the country with a long dirt and gravel and somewhat rough driveway. Some pot holes that fill with water when it rains and one part of the driveway is more beat up the rest. Very bumpy. Will my e300 be ok on this terrain at slow speeds?

Thank you

Our 2018 W213 stays in the garage at our vacation house in the country and it requires traversing a half-mile dirt road poorly maintained by the county to get there. My actual driveway is paved but just to go to the grocery store or any other errands requires the use of the unpaved road both ways. Before my MB navigation service lapsed, I would chuckle when I heard "turn left on the unpaved road." My actual complaint is that every time I come to town I have to take the car to get it washed.

I think you'll be fine. Oh yes, I drive between 15 and 20 mph the entire distance. My wife is used to this..now.

2018 E300 4Matic Sport
The roads and infrastructure here in the Northern NJ/Tri-State ranges from worse-than-average to falling apart. I opted against the AMG wheels and tires, when I bought my car, and I do have run-flats on my E300 4Matic (Sport). I think the car/tires/wheels do OK, but I tend to be a conservative, non-aggressive, not fast driver. I am very careful when I drive on unpaved, uneven, poor roads, and the car does well. A big pothole is a problem no matter what, LOL.

Drive slowly, and I think you'll be fine.

Some dump truck drivers are quite skilled at dumping a load of gravel "on the run." They can lay down a nice carpet of gravel very quickly, and it makes a world of difference. A heavy equipment operator can also level things out very well. Enjoy country life!

Do you 18” or 19” AMG wheels? Dont matter either way, this is the wrong car to go off roading. Maybe a GLE is more appropriate.
