Has anyone else had issues with the air freshener function? I bought an original Mercedes fragrance yesterday and I can’t get it to work. The fragrance is unsealed and placed in its slot. When I try to turn on the function, it stops immediately.

I just tested:

if no fragrance in the slot the setting doesn't work (message pops up as per photo), So this is not your case

BTW What do you mean with "unsealed" ?

 

Have you checked for any dirt or debris in the area where the fragrance is drawn in to the car? Maybe it's dirty or has some dried fragrance from the last canister that was in there. Also, have you ever had a non-MB fragrance in there? It's possible that if you did, it clogged up the intake. If you have a steam cleaner, you could spray some hot steam to try to loosen any gunk that might be in there.
