Just to clarify some things, in case if I misled you in any way:
- W213 by default does not have fullscreen carplay, not in US or EU (not even in germany). I say this as EU resident, who saw many of w213 in germany.
- I can confirm that products from Elebest works well, even in our countries.
hey @e55phil i'm going to pm you, but you also had some input into my decision making based off location and your posts lol little shoutout there. here's w222 post #34 which kinda solidified it for me, make sure you keep scrolling on that post. now he doesnt have a w213 Fl but once you scroll down ele best has confirmed it'll work with our mode.
*** @e55phil you'll need to PM me, i believe i'm too new, i always just browsed in the past instead of making an account 🤷🏼♂️***
For some reason, I cannot send you a PM maybe because you're new or maybe because you're not upgraded I really don't know but the option does not exist. I think I'm going to buy the product from Elebest and spend the money that way.
I have decided that I will buy your product and install it. After I install it, I will write a detailed review. From our various conversations, I believe that these are the following steps:
1. I must purchase certain products from you, the radio module and some sort of cable to connect to my computer
2. Is there anything else I need to buy?
3. I do not have a PC computer, can you work with a Mac or do I have to burrow a PC?
4. Once I receive your products, I will take apart the dashboard and exchange the module. You will provide me with the link to the video explaining to me how to do that.
5. Once the module is installed, I connect to the port under the steering wheel with the cable that I described above, which I will purchase from you. The other end of the cable is connected to the computer, and the computer is connected to the Internet. 4. You will provide me with web address that I connect to so that you can connect to my car and "code" the car in someway.
6. I can keep the old module.
7. If for some reason, I have problems with module in the future you agree to help me to diagnose and if possible resolve the problem at no charge. If parts are required I will be responsible.
8. Do you offer a warranty on the products you are selling to me?
Please correct me if i am wrong about anything and let me know how to pay you.

A1: W213 MBUX head unit High Spec USA Version, original Mercedes, Brand new.
2. Is there anything else I need to buy?
enet cable: if you don’t want anything else like ILS+ coding or auto start stop coding
openport 2.0: if you need some extra coding.
3. I do not have a PC computer, can you work with a Mac or do I have to burrow a PC?
Remote work is available on PC only, we don’t have way to get it done in Mac. So you need borrow one or buy one.
4. Once I receive your products, I will take apart the dashboard and exchange the module. You will provide me with the link to the video explaining to me how to do that.
yes, I suggest you find a helper, this job might not be easy for you(according to our chatting). But don’t need to touch dashboard. Just open the center console panel like the video I sent to you. Difficult level is low if you compare same job of all other car models like GLE GLS A B GLA GLB.

yes.

Yes. 1 year wrty.
8. Do you offer a warranty on the products you are selling to me?
1 year.

finally did this with max in october, i tried to record the process with my work phone and tryna use my personal to communicate at the same time so the video is what you make of it. i've taken apart audi and lexus but this was my first mb. it was nerve-racking but now that I did it i could do it again multiple times so it is very easy. i sped up the video so slow it down or speed it up if you need to. i'll post some vids of the end result but the pic above is my w213 usa, message me if you have any questions for my experience. will say im happy with the result and can't thank @EleBest enough, i can't imagine going back to that small carplay screen and the processor is so much faster.

Great video process, thanks for the positive feedback regarding Max, hopefully others will see what I have been saying all along.
