My winter wheels for the E450 AT Wagon
After a good amount of reading and no clear recommendations, I bought a test wheel to check the brake fitment and then committed to 18x8 Sparco All-Terrain Terra ET+45 with 225/50R-18 Falken WildPeak A/T Trail SL. Picked this combo as I wanted a three peaks M + S rated tire to avoid the need for chains. I also wanted to avoid spending a fortune on 20" tires for the existing rims while getting some more sidewall for potholes/rocks. Car feels amazing in a wide range of conditions from deep slush, to snow, ice, and standing water. Would highly recommend. One thing I hadn't counted on was rear brake caliper clearance being a possible issue. As you can see from the pic it is very tight, but so far no issues.

Put same Sparco wheels on wife’s 2020 CRV Hybrid AWD but with Vredestein 3mountain Peak A/S tires. Need the traction in case we encounter snow in NM or when we travel from GA I77/I81/I66 on way to Reston VA.
Sparco wheels are light and on recent last trip to Reston in September, steering response was amazing as I destroyed a BMW X3 with 2.0T on curvy I-81. Not sure why anyone would buy anything less than a 3.0 Inline 6 in either a BMW or Mercedes Benz…had a new GLC loaner for 3-month in 2023 when AMG E63s Wagon was under warranty repair in ABQ NM.
GLC with 2.0T is a decent car for a Lady with 1-2 kids or a City Dweller without any desire for high performance or smooth engine response. The 2.0T Ecoboost made in Spain is a better application for my $28K generic Maverick XL work truck with 250-HP and 277 lb-ft Torque. It smokes BMWs, Audis, and GLC that costs substantially more $$$ with their corporate 2.0-liter motors. Ford even puts its 2.0T Ecoboost in Lincoln Corsair that starts at $42K and tops off at $55K. I would never buy that Corsair at that price point. Would rather have a 3.0 liter smooth Inline-6 powerplant for $10K-$15K more..,

Will put new Spare in pickup bed and secure to tie downs on next long distance trip since have a Tonneau Cover that locks with Tailgate.
I picked up 18x8 BBS winter wheels second hand and was also worried about clearance for my 2017 e400 wagon.
They BARELY fit, but they fit! 25 lbs per corner & they look great.
250-hp 277 ft-lbs and AWD is impressive in my generic Maverick XL. After warranty expires will install Chip to boost HP over 300 and remove the speed limiter. Hopefully my Amsoil Signature series motor oil will protect its Turbo-4 that is assembled in Spain. I miss the brutality of my 2021 AMG Wagon but still have a 6.2L LS3 V8 in my Chevy SS if I wanna hit 160mph in Mexico…
You can use the Wildpeak Trail tire year round on the street, in the snow, and light off-road duty on your Mercedes Wagon up to its rated speed of 130mph…
