Hi people. I have a serious problem which is pressuring me for weeks. Suddenly one day my Benz flashed a red battery icon on my dashboard. When I turn off my engine it’s coming on the dashboard again after 5-10min. I changed my battery and the voltage
is ok 14,8V-14,9V. After diagnosing it says that I have short circuit to ground or open circuit ( P056214). Also it says that the voltage is too low, but I have enough voltage as I said. Then I found that fuse 103 is blowing and in the diagram it says that it belongs to ENGINE ELECTRONICS. What should I do guys? Maybe changing the SAM module will fix it? Also 3 days after the first error , my Heads-up display disappeared! Maybe because of fuse 103? Please help!

Don't chase parts, you need a voltage reader oscillator to see when and where the voltage dips. You are only reading on point of the voltage history and the situation is not repeated when you are just checking things. SAM is working from you have, however open an or a ground can seem many things, including a dead signal so you need schematics for the data cable.

Hello guys, I had the same issue and I managed to fix it recently (1 day ago), I had engine light on and Red battery warning on the dashboard constantly .
I will keep this forum updated in few days or weeks if the issue arised again or nothing, but I will explain my trouble shooting.
Firstly, both alternator and battery were working fine with no issue, in idle, running and load test. I had a new battery 2-3 months ago anyways so I knew it couldn't be a fault, I replaced the alternator anways knowing it was working fine, after replacing, the issue still remained. I found out it was Fuse 103 blown, did a quick test = Unplugged ECU and put a new fuse and turned ignition on and the fuse didn't blow. I plugged the ECU and put new fuse and turned ignition on and it blew straight away, which tells you that its anything after the ECU.
I firstly unplugged, EGR Valve and fuse still blown then Turbo actuator and fuse still blown so it means this the sensor isn't the issue for theses parts, then next i did the same but unplugged all for
MAF sensor, MAP/Boost sensor, Camshaft sensor and Nox Sensor and started to do process of elimiation and i found out that fuse 103 didn't blow, which made me confused. I cleared fault code, drove car around, and currently no issue, no warning. So i guess for my part it probably was a connector that just needed to get unplugged and plugged back in tbh. But I'm not too sure, I will keep this posted with my result at the end in few days or weeks, because no way could be that simple to fix for my situition, maybe different for others such as wires shorting, or components not working.
