mbux dashcam files missing?

mbux dashcam files missing?
my built in dashcam works great, however when i check the usb drive on my computer, there are no files detected. but, when i plug it back into the car, the recent recordings are there. anyone else have this issue? or do i need to do it on a windows laptop?

- how's the usb formatted (nts, exfat...)?
- can you plug it into another port on your pc?
- reformat the drive
- do you have a 2nd usb drive connected (for music) and could it be that it's recording to that one?
the files should definitely be visible on your pc, although none of the windows players can play it
