Agreed. Skip the anti-seize.
Dealership prices have risen sharply in recent years. B service at my local has nearly doubled. Maybe time to find a good Indy shop. I generally stick with the dealer as long as my car has warranty coverage, either new car or CPO.

The low mileage suggests many short trips that likely do not get the engine to normal operating temp. That is considered extreme conditions and should have more frequent oil changes.

None of the maintenance is necessary as long as you are willing to face the consequences of problems down the road. In the old days, if a car sat for 3 years and never moved the first thing someone would do is replace the fluids and plugs. There is a reason for that. Cars are made to move. Sitting can cause problems if not properly cared for. Do some research besides asking on this forum and make your own decisions. It's your car, but if it were mine, those services would most certainly be done.
I guess the other worry is seals drying from sitting and no engine oil lubricating them.

This whole discussion about money, spending it, wasting it, do it yourself, and so on, is a fallacious argument. Here's the reality of it -- to each their own. Period. I am fortunate, grateful, and blessed. I could buy a car that costs 6 times what I paid for my MB, and it wouldn't impact me at all. I wouldn't even notice it. However, just because I have what I have doesn't mean I don't want value, and don't want to feel good, and don't want to get taken advantage of -- for every dollar I spend. However each person looks at money -- it's not right or wrong. It's simply their way. That makes it right for them. Others who say that's wrong -- well, that just becomes part of the making others out to be wrong, wanting to be right, and so on. Very apparent and transparent to me.

Argue about time vs. mileage all you want. That I am interested in. LOL.

Hello,

I have a small question. Apart from the original Mercedes oil 229.52, have you used any other brand of oil? What do you think about the Motul specific 229.52? Or is it better to go with the original oil?

If it is ester based and meets the same certification yes it is indeed better.
