Help with tail light removal on tailgate – E-Class Estate W213 (S213)
Hi everyone,
I need some help replacing the tail light on the tailgate of my E-Class Estate W213 (S213). I’ve removed all the trim on the tailgate and can now access the light from the inside, but I’m unsure how to proceed from here.
There are no visible screws holding the light in place. I found a module in the center and have unplugged the connector, but I don’t know what to do next. I noticed there are some small notches or tabs that look like they might release the light if pressed or pushed, but after spending quite a bit of time trying, I gave up—I’m also afraid of breaking something if I use too much force.
Has anyone done this before and can guide me on how to properly remove the tail light from the body? Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!
