Has the 48v battery issue been resolved with the E450?
Hi, all!
I'm really considering pulling the trigger on a 2022 E450 with about 12K miles. It was manufactured in 02/22. I've been doing my due diligence and have been reading a lot about the M256 reliability. The 48v battery seems to be an issue (although not sure how common and if it's still ongoing). The vehicle's in great shape - it's been taken in for all the recalls/services.
In the VMI, it states:

What 48v issues have you heard about? If there are legit issues I would think 2022 would be a year with them since it was only the second year with the 48v mild-hybrid in the E-Class. The fact that its a 2022 and no apparent issues at least tells you that its still working in that car. There are three more model years of the E-class with the M256 mild-hybrid 48v system since thw 2022, so I would expect most of the issues to have been worked out by now. Not that thise three additional years would benefit a 2022 model though.

2023 E 450 Sedan. 2018 GLC 300. 2013 E 350 Coupe (retired)
2023 E 450. Manufactured 10/22. No issue. Great car. Can only see if 48V battery is momentarily charging or discharging, cannot figure out overall state of charge.
