But...
My 2019 E450 is under CPO warranty coverage currently.
I went in stating the top of my rear window defogger is not working. See picture attached here.
They said the rear window was functioning as designed. That part of the wire in the rear glass is for the antenna. Really??????????
I get frost on my window, so Mercedes can hide the antenna in the glass.
BTW I have a small 'square' bump on my roof that I presumed was the antenna.
Your guidance please...
1) 2019 W213 (E450) is the antenna in the rear window?
2) What is the squareish bump on my rear roof?

BTW, they said there is nothing wrong, so there is no CPO coverage.
There are multiple antennas in the W213 including the outside mirrors, real shelf, center front and rear roof, rear doors, center console, instrument panel, front and rear windshields, ... depending on equipment. See attached.
They are actually telling the truth. The top portion of the rear window is not heated since they have antenna lines running across that portion of the window.
When you look through your rear view mirror, is that remaining frost obscuring your vision?
From what I can see, you can adjust your rear view mirror to take it out of your view.

Typical to have an antenna in the rear window. A car has several antennas, keyless-go, FM radio, gps, tele-aid/emergency etc. The roof antenna could even be a dummy antenna depending on vehicle options. Bet if you trace the wires they will lead to a connector then to some type of amplifier box.
I like the question above asking is your visibility obscured with frost there?

I also have a 2019 E450 with the extended warranty, so your post peaked my interest:
From memory, when I am in Vermont in the winter skiing, when I turn on the rear defroster, the top of the window does not defrost. I just went out and checked my car: with the rear defroster on, the top six wires do not heat up.
