dear all does some one know about itFirst of all. I bought this car from Germany and import to Taiwan for personal use. Previously, I bought the “smartphone integration” package from my MB app, but it doesn’t activate and connect to my car. My subscription for all modules is still active and displays on my cellphone. But it cannot be updated and active in my vehicle platform. Especially previously, my vehicle support to have a MEDICENS ME icon (see photo 163657.jpg) on my vehicle platform screen, but now this icon has disappeared and no longer have “Mercedes ME icon” anymore(see 163666.jpg). When I check the engineering platform, the connection and communication function is blocked and cannot be manually switched on by myself.

I also consult to local MBTW dealer. They said they don’t have the right to help me to update my vehicle status. Because this car is belonging to German regisation based on the MB Taiwan policy.

So all professional persons, who please help me to unlock the car status or modify the vehicle setting for me. Maybe I can use the “Over-the-air Vehicle updates” function to active into smart phone integration package in my car with your unlock or modify help.

1. I can not use the Wi-Fi function to connect my cellphone hotspot because the platform can not be searched, see 758.jpg
2. Nowadays I can use MB app to control my car, especially I can unlock and lock my car
3. I provided the photo 757.jpg to you. You can see my software revision
4. Can I manually update the software thought from USB drive? If I could , would you please send me NEW software via Google Drive or where I can download it?
5. Or only need the measurement computer from the dealer to update my vehicle?

You cannot use Mercedes me outside of the country/region where the car was originally sold. The Mercedes servers won't allow it. Your car has a German VIN, so it can only use Mercedes me in Germany and surrounding countries with roaming agreements. You can't take the car to Taiwan and expect Mercedes me to roam in Taiwan. It's a different market. You have to buy the car in Taiwan if you want Mercedes me to work, so that it has the correct VIN for your market.

 

Many thanks for your feedback. Your advice is correct, and I know this policy. In my use experience, in innitally was works, but I forgot to download the smartphone integration package. I bought it 4 months ago. i still find a way to connect with my phone's hotspot to get the wifi. i think my problem is i dont know how to unlock the wifi founction. If I could have a wifi. It might work again from my country.

 

More likely "in innitally was works" in Germany or you are confused.
W213 can't use internet from your phone, your phone can use internet from W213 data plan subscription and this is already explained by our @superswiss below.
