When going to the Workshop menu, to check what my next services is (A1) it shows the workshop code of D1E. A search indicated that The D is for how long the service takes as in 4Hr, which seem high for Oil and Filter (perform myself so should take 45min) but if so what is the 1E mean. I am obviouls missing something. The car is my wife’s 2019 E450 Wagon.
MB service codes are confusing, and seem to change over time. But at 75K, if you haven't previously had your gearbox fluids and spark plugs changed, these are likely included in the 4 hour time estimate. Search the forum for service codes (if you haven't already) and you might find something relevant. I think I recall a post long ago that listed some.
I did plugs at 50K, and transfulid/filter at 59K. I will just go with the A1, Oil&Filter now and on next service see if anything shows up in the workshop codes
Cant imagine the time of the work being in the workshop code. I could be totally wrong though.
In the workshop menu you should see the specific service numbers listed, at least its how it works on my W204.
My last service showed BH due on the dash. So i went into the ASSYST PLUS to the workshop menu.
From there it showed Service 2, 3, 11 and 13.
Service 2 = Service B Major Basic Service
Service 3 = Engine: oil and filter change (odd since its part of service B)
Service 11 = Fuel filter
Service 13 = Coolant
Those services made perfect sense since my car just hit 150,000 miles and it matched up with what the Maintenance Manual in the glove box shows.
It looks like the services are similar to the chart I posted for the w204. Service 11 is Fuel filter, Service 12 is spark plugs, Service 13 is coolant etc.
