Hi all,
Got the wear indicator on the rear pads, but I want to change discs and pads all round (at 76k KM, I know there's a slight warp in the discs).
My local indie (friend) will do the work for me and he doesn't use cheap parts, BUT, i'd like a recommendation for high quality discs and pads (all round) for the car.
Please throw your recommendations my way!
PS. I'll also need to get a replacement rear pad wear sensor - I presume these don't need to be genuine Mercedes? Will the car pick-up the new sensor automatically when fitted, or does fault code (if you could call it that) need to be cleared?
I also watched YouTube videos previously about changing the rear pads - that they have to be 'released' from options on the steering rack.... presume this is nothing special and relates to the electric handbrake?

I used PowerStop Front and Rear Brake Kit For Mercedes-Benz E300 2017 - Drilled, Slotted and coated Disc Rotors with Ceramic Brake Pads Replacement, K8072 full kit with sensors from Amazon, everything needed is included in the kit, you can get directly from them or other distributors. Kits are based on your year and model to OEM specifications and better.
I got tired of having to replace rotors and pads every couple years because of shimmering when braking at speeds above 60 MPH due to warped rotors. I’ve had them installed for almost a year now and absolutely love them, they also look great too
