M256 oil change every 5000 or 7500 miles?

M256 oil change every 5000 or 7500 miles?
been doing oil changes every 7500 miles, currently at 60k miles. should i start doing 5000 or stay at 7500? 2021 E450 All Terrain. Trying to keep as long as possible. Preventatively did spark plugs, trans, and all axle fluids early.

The fact that you’ve done it every 7500 miles, and that you’ve driven it 60k miles in 5 years tells me you’ve done well. A big factor in oil change intervals is how you’ve driven the car - and clocking 12k miles in a year indicates many highway miles to me. Add to that oil changes twice every 15 months or so, you’ve kept the oil fresh over a good interval on the whole.
Unless you’re clocking those miles from constant taxi/uber driving in the city, I think you’re fine and should not be alarmed.
highway driving at constant rpm’s and speeds is ideal for an engine by design. If your driving habits will change to lots of stop start/city driving, or you do lots of short winter trips then it may make sense to shorten your oil change interval to 5k miles for that high stress environment. Modern synthetic MB 229.51 and 229.52 oils are formulated and specified to withstand a lot of abuse compared to oils from a decade back, so on the whole you’re fine.
