They are comfortable although I haven't tried the massage yet. However, I have had these seats in other Mercedes in the past and used them periodically. Massage is especially helpful when I have a back strain which happens when you are a senior citizen 😂

really like the pics. my lease on my sclass is up in 11 months and the 450 eclass interests me very much. Will be interested in you thoughts once you have an opportunity to drive it for a bit. Thanks for posting and enjoy your new ride...

Interesting read. Local dealer said would have to order to get color and features wanted. So was fine with that.
Well told me it would be 2025 with a delivery in August 2024. From what seeing in the comments here dont see
how that can be possible. They have an allocation which was going to change to my specs. I would be ok
with a 2024 with color and features want. I just dont see from comments how it could be a 2025 model

I got a call from my sales rep today to tell me MB just changed my order to a 2025 model. I still have a production date of 7/1 so no change there and still expect delivery around the end of August. Only difference is the center airbag. I was able to get a rear spoiler added to my build as well. I didn't include it initially since i couldn't find a picture with one but now have seen them and like the look.
This kinda the information the dealer told me. See if can order today, should expect in August. But some other
post make these time frames seem short ????

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
I’ve thought about ordering a 2025 e class all terrain although have concerns over issues with the 48 volt hybrid system. I know a lot of owners of previous in-line 6s with the 48 volt battery were having battery failure leaving the car dead. I wonder if that condition was ever corrected or maybe it was a battery supplier issue? Anyone familiar with this?

With a new car order, the only date the dealership can state with any degree of certainty is the build date. The delivery date is just a gross estimate that depends on a variety of factors. However, they typically will give a somewhat aggressive estimation of delivery timeframe of 6-8 weeks after the vehicle is assembled/built (at least that is what my dealership quoted me on my recent order of a 2025 E450). Personally, I think 8 weeks probably is close to the minimum, and a more realistic estimate on the delivery timeframe may be 8-10 weeks instead.

Most of my cars take between 4 and 6 weeks from the build date to delivery in Florida. The quickest was exactly 4 weeks. Three days from factory to ship. Nineteen days from Bremerhaven to Brunswick. Four days at the VPC. Two days from Brunswick to Clearwater. OTOH I've had cars stuck in Bremerhaven for over a week; on a ship with many ports of call; stuck at the VPC waiting for some part. Delivery times are a crap shoot - win some and lose some.

Thanks so much for tracking and posting this.
I am a first-time MB buyer who put in an order for a car back in Ferbruary, and this is the most complete posting of what I can expect.
Much appreciated!

Looking at pics of some new E450s and the redline appears to be ~5,800 RPM. Is it a variable redline that changes as the car warms up? Just wondering because it is ~6,200 on the W213 E450, and the M256 engine seems to be largely a carryover. But maybe not...

I took delivery of my E450 on May 24 have about 1200 miles on the car. It is a schizophrenic relationship. The engineering which includes the ride and performance are incredible and no different than an S class! However, the technology. That's something to be desired. The MBUX is extremely frustrating. SiriusXM satellite has intermittent reception and goes in and out at places where my Porsche still has good reception. The touchscreen is not as fast and receptive as they report. I can touch the screen several times before I receive a response. To access Apple CarPlay is also a challenge. I've tried different approaches, based on the information that I have received from this forum. However, the only way that I can access CarPlay is by setting my phone to MBUX Wi-Fi after I get in the car. I don't have to do that with my Porsches. My last issue was related to the tires. Soon after delivery, I Heard a humming sound when I approached 70 miles an hour or greater. It turns out that it was the tires which were Michelin and three of the four tires were defective so they had to replace them with Pirelli's. At this point, the issue has resolved but it's frustrating when you spend almost $90,000 and have to deal with his problems. I'm a long time Mercedes buyer going back to 1999 and predominantly owned AMGs. I think Mercedes has a lot of work to do to get me to return to purchase another one. However, it is my wife's car and she loves it so I'll have to deal with some of these frustrations.

CDK Hack Impact On Delivery
Has anyone been adversely impacted by the worldwide CDK outage? My dealership website states salespeople are unable to access email. Also, routine vehicle management procedures are impaired, such as sales and delivery. Trying to see if there has been a ripple effect impacting shipping from Germany and subsequent shipping from VPC to dealerships.

I sent an email to my salesman yesterday relative to making some changes to my ordered E450 scheduled for decade 24/08-2 but have not received a reply so I assume this is the reason. He usually responds immediately.
Does anyone know the approximate cutoff timespan for making changes to an order? My order has a production date of 08/16. Not sure if I need to try to rush a response or if I have some time.
