I was in for my service appointment today and my dealer have lost all access to their appointments. This has been going on for two weeks and they do not know when it will be fixed.

I just took delivery of my E450 yesterday, it's been lovely so far. I couldn't find the "Progressive Sport Sound" that has been shown in various reviewer videos, most notably the one by RBR.

Is this feature not available on NA models? I was able to purchase the DashCam on the store and I will test it out today.

My dealer's systems are down too, so they gave me a temp tag as they couldn't the transfer the plate from my trade-in to the E450.

My only real concern at the moment is the brake performance which feels suboptimal, I made a thread about that but I'll mention it here but I'm suspicious that it might be due to the Continental EcoContact 6Q that my E came with but I can't say for certain as I've only driven 50 miles so far.

On another note, I am currently on a 2-week vacay in Europe and looking out to see the new W214 on European roads. After 4 days here (first Lisbon and now in Madrid thru the weekend) with tours of these cities included in my itinerary, I have seen a grand total of 1 - a luxury W214 wagon. Gonna keep looking, I guess. Heading to Barcelona next week and will see…

New Update On 2025 E450

Informed today by dealer rep that my 2025 E450 is projected to be finished with production by August 13. If true, then I can expect delivery the first half of September, according to the Bremerhaven Germany to Brunswick GA VPC shipping schedule. My original order was for the 2024 MY, placed on February 16, 2024 with a 2 to 4 month delivery. I appreciate info from my dealership but it is still frustrating. Mercedes Benz has the technology that allows European buyers to track their orders. We need the same capability in North America. My expectations were not met and putting the dealership in the middle places them in a unwinnable situation.

Here is the last update on my car. Originally had a build date of July 19th. My dealer advised me the car went into production in the last of week of June. This actually means very little. I only got a VIN yesterday and it shows the same build date of July 19th, meaning that is the completion date. I thought I was getting my car a couple weeks early. Not so! With a minimum of 6 weeks transit time, I should see it beginning of Sept to Sept.15Th.
I think going into production means parts are being accumulated for production and VIN means build is starting and build date is date of completion. Some OP had mentioned that earlier in this thread.

Thanks for sharing your update. Helps me in understanding what it means when my dealer says my car will be finished with production August 13. Rep also said I could expect delivery by end of August or early September. I didn’t think that was accurate and your experience solidified that it’s not. My next conversation with my rep will be to contact me when you have a VIN. Mercedes Benz needs to provide the capability for buyers in North America to track progress as they do for their European buyers.

My production date was July 1st and I didn't get a VIN until July 8th when I also got the update that it was already at the port for shipping which I assume is Bremerhaven Germany. It's still there and no word on when it will ship out. Looking up the VIN on mb.vin does provide the correct results allowing me to verify the car has all the options I ordered. My dealer verified the same on his end. I followed the directions in this post to see if I can track the shipment and thought my car might get loaded today as a ship called Morning Calypso was docked there two days ago to load cars that will eventually make their way to Brunswick GA where my car will be shipped to. Sadly no, as it appears to be still sitting at the port. Using the shipping site, I can see the next vessel to leave Bremerhaven en route to to Brunswick is the Carman which is scheduled to leave Bremerhaven on July 22nd and arrive in Brunswick on August 13th.

Angry

My car went into production a few days early, but it's been almost a month now without any new updates. My salesman initially thought it would have a quick turn around time from shipping, but still no word on when it will be shipped.

Hope the wait is short for you and things begin to move sooner.

May I ask how you were able to see which Ship is scheduled on the route in question to Brunswick?

I am trying to see ships from East London to Bremerhaven and then Bremerhaven to Halifax Canada as well.

Appreciate your input. Thanks

AFAIK MB does not ship to Halifax. They only ship to their 3 North America VPC serviced ports - Baltimore, Brunswick and Long Beach.

RoRo vessel schedules and routes - Wallenius Wilhelmsen

Thanks. Used this and they infact do seem to ship to Halifax. They have several scheduled for the month..

Lets see if the search works with Commission Number/PO number to indicate when and if the car is ever loaded onto one of these and I can confirm then

Thnks again.

You can search by bill of lading number (BOL), customer reference number, or booking number. You may be able to see that on your customer order sheet if you have one with the VIN and other final cost details, including the destination VPC.

Has anyone seen what the base prices are for the 2025s? I have an E450 on order with a production date of 08/16/24 and wondering what the increase will be.

I should have said direct to Halifax. The shortest route I found was Bremerhaven - Southampton - Halifax.

Nothing officially published by Mercedes Benz. Pricing still reflects 2024 MY prices on MBUSA website.

My car was built June 21st, and never shipped. My dealer has no updates. Does this happen often? My car is dead before arrival.

How do you know it was built on June 21st? Did you get a VIN?

Uncertainty and Patience!

Not sure if it happens often. The process isn't designed to provide buyers the most timely and accurate information. If you have a VIN then you know you have a car. All the rest is waiting, including: shipping from Bremerhaven, arrival at your vehicle processing center (VPC) and them completing VPC added options (like rear spoiler and locking lug nuts), VPC releasing car to carrier, carrier transport to dealership, dealer prep and finally release to buyer. Dealer reps have access to the MB information system to track some things, but I doubt if they know why any given car has not shipped or when it will ship. I've been waiting since February for my new E-450 and don't expect it until September or early October, based on the "end of production date" of August 17. Bottom line: Just because your car is built doesn't mean it'll be on the next ship out. Patience is a must, I found!

Yeah, I just know that my dealer quoted me a different timeline. Plus, others had it built after me, were able to get the 2025 and have already had it shipped. It is frustrating to go 1 month without it even being shipped.

yes it can be a very frustrating experience. I vowed after waiting 9 months for a 2018 amg I ordered back then to never order another car again. But here I am with an order for a 2025 e450. The salesman told me it would be no problem getting the car by late October when I go back to my home in Florida but I just found out today taking with the sales manager that the car will not even be produced until the end of November and after shipping and all I’ll probably be lucky to see the car before Christmas. Oh well I guess that’ll give mb more time to get the software bugs worked out of this car and me current 2019 e450 wagon is low mileage and in perfectly good shape. I’m sure though since you have a vin number that you car must be in shipment. I would talk with the sales manager at the dealer and insist that he get you an update of where your car is or tell him your gonna cancel and buy an Audi. Or the alternative is find a car close to what you were looking for as a in stock Mercedes Sat a dealer somewhere else even if they have to have the car trucked to where you’re at.

You may want to contact MBUSA. Go to their website and follow the contact us instructions. I contacted them (providing my PO #) when I wanted to know if MY 2025 E-Class were being held until an "official release date" and within 3 business days they had contacted my dealer rep.
