Is it reasonable to expect a VIN if the car started production 4/2/2024 or earlier? I’m trying to confirm what’s going on and when I can reasonably expect shipment and delivery. I anticipated the end of May or early June when my dealership told me on 4/2/2024 my E450 was on the assembly line.

Once the car is being assembled you should have a vin for it.

I asked my sales rep today and he said the same thing that @ua549 said. If your car really did begin production on 4/2 I would think it was completed long ago and should be on a ship at least by now. They only take a few days to build on the assembly line.
