I haven't seen much from the US based safety ratings but I did find the Euro NCAP report which gives the new E-Class 5 stars across the board. They also tested the assist functions to determine how well they help avoid an accident. It received high scores for car to car avoidance and lane keep assist but marginal for occupant monitoring specifically for the driver.
