I had an E450 All-Terrain from 2022 to March 2024 and I absolutely loved that engine so I agree with everything that was said about the noise and smoothness of that engine, and I loved that everything was driven electrically. I got my E350 sedan for a hefty price in early March when no 450's were yet available. I do miss the 450 but I must admit that the performance and smoothness of the 350 is very good (but not the noise unfortunately). But they both have the same mild hybrid systems, so I don't understand why the AC runs differently. I don't use start-stop much, but if I do, the AC seems to run perfectly with the engine paused, or perhaps I just didn't stop for long enough!
Any thoughts?
Mine is a mild hybridm and AC remains on whenever the car shuts down on start/stop, and it has an option to coold the car with AC remotely (Pre-entry climate control), an option I absolutely love and use it every day during hot summer days.
