As a side note, the model code for the sedan is 214.063. Interesting MB used 063 rather than 053.

 

I have been on the list with my "selected" options for over a month now (Deposit place in May of this year). No Pricing. I was told carbon fiber (even the console inside) was not available due to supply chain issues. I am unsure if this will change by the time they "place" my order. The wait is killing me.

 

One of the cars at the NY dealer linked above has the carbon fiber package. Maybe the delay is cleared up.

Back to the NY Dealer - they added a 4th car as in production. All cars now have a price, but only one has detail on the MSRP window sticker. Backing out options and destination I come to $90,520.

 

Update - full MSRP listed. $88,000 confirmed.

USA. The NY dealer linked above (#18) has 4 E 53s listed. All cars show a price, but one of them has a completed MSRP sticker and $88,000 is listed. It also shows options that I have with a price, that my order doesn't show. Additional USB ports on my dealer confirmation does not show a price, but on the NY MSRP, $70. And, my order has Pinnacle at $2,650. NY Car is $4,150.

Is there an order guide possibly with pricing somewhere? If the E53 had come out a year earlier, I might have considered it but I'm plenty happy with my E450 at the moment. I assume with options this thing is gonna be $100k+ and I wonder if you're better off just getting an M5 at that point.

 

With options maybe 96-100k. The m5 with decent options is 135k.

 

Hmm, my E450 is pretty much fully loaded with the exception of the hyperscreen and was about 93k. I guess I was expecting a fully optioned E53 to be worth about 110-115k.

If you're right, 96-100k is surprisingly good given a full optioned E450 can get to 96k.


If you skip the CCB and the carbon package, the M5 is about 123k.

The configurator is up, but it does not show all the options.
carbon steering wheel & dash cam, both are in the dealer guide.
does that mean these are not available for US market?

 

The dash cam should be available at any time as a download. I didn’t order it on my E450 but received a 10% off offer shortly after delivery which I purchased last week.

 

I have just got it, order in June but the car is very unconfortable. The seats are very stiff without any real support on the seating part. I am very disappointed. This is not the quality and comfort which I have expected from a such high priced vehicle.

 

What seat package did you get? And, congratulations on the car.

 

Agree - I have options, such as the Alcantara headliner, that is not listed.

 

It also doesn't weigh 4,244 lbs. Most likely 5,244.

Congratulations. what a beautiful car. I personally hesitated enormously between a GLE53 and an E53 estate.

Those around me (family, friends,...) think I made the wrong choice and that a GLE makes more impression.

What is your feeling in daily use?
What about the exhaust sound? are you planning to change anything on the exhaust?
