Ordered my back in July and received it about 2 weeks ago. Took it to get PPF, Tints, and Ceramic coating. I love the car so far.

I'm using a Battery Tender brand battery maintainer to the 12 volt battery. The 28kw battery I will manage remotely, and not have it plugged in. So far the state of charge is not changing via storage time.

Beautiful Spec! Great looking and in person, I think, even better looking. How much of the car did you PPF?

The entire front. Hood, bumper, fenders, carbon side view mirrors, and I black vinyl wrapped a little 1ft wide section the roof that came white. Now the entire roof with the sunroof looks black.

I can't speak for the other guys car, but I am pretty confident I got the answer you're looking for based off of my recent order.
The standard spoiler comes matching the same paint color as the car, for the E53. The black carbon fiber spoiler comes with the carbon fiber package that includes the carbon fiber mirrors and I think maybe some other features as well. Not sure if this comes as an option for other models, but that was the option for the E53.

Starting with the 2025 MY, the E350 and E450 can be optioned with either painted to match or gloss black rear spoiler. No carbon fiber option. In my opinion, the black or carbon fiber option only looks good on light colored cars. White in particular. My Natucal Blue looks great with the body color spoiler and I think the black or carbon fiber would not look as good. I could be wrong. I have not seen any color but white with the different color spoiler. Perhaps a black car would look nice with the carbon fiber option. On a white car, it really pops!

Thank you. And yes Rick was correct. For the e53 you have the body colored spoiler or my carbon one which came with the AMG Carbon Fiber Package which included the side mirror caps in carbon fiber as well. Hope this helps.

Car Not a Problem// Software that's another animal

The car is fantastic; it rides well. But as I was afraid of, with a ton of technology, there can also be many software issues. I have experienced problems since Day one.
Buyers, beware until MB solves the glitches.

The age old first year concern crossed my mind as well - but the W214 and the tech is second year. The PHEV drivetrain has been around awhile. I have zero issues.

I would not minimize software issues and malfunctions. Spent my second day at the MB dealership, and guess what? More warning lights went off! That makes it #2 out of #3 days since I took delivery. It's got 100 miles on it, and I think 70 of those were spent making friends with the folks at the MB shop. This time, it was the engine warning system. Software malfunctions in a high-tech car? It’s like ordering a gourmet meal and getting a microwave dinner instead. Seriously, it's a real headache—like trying to explain TikTok to your grandparents!

More technical malfunctions in the new high-tech car. I just ordered a gourmet meal and got a microwave dinner instead. Does anyone know when the next software update will become available? I mean, you cannot even store Sirius XM stations as favorites. Come on MB , are you serious?

One of the few cars that look fabulous in white. Gorgeous. Are the seats more comfortable than the nappa in the e450?

AMG E53 214.063; BMW IXM
Picked up my AMG E53 on Thursday, and though the weather has been rainy, I’m absolutely loving this car. I haven’t pushed it hard yet as I’m taking my time with the 1,000-mile break-in period, but here’s what stands out so far:

First off, the design is gorgeous. Seeing it in person for the first time, I knew I made the right choice. The interior is equally stunning—luxurious, modern, and exactly what I expected from Mercedes. It’s comfortable, beautifully crafted, and full of tech to explore.

Driving-wise, it feels refined yet sporty. In Sport+ mode, the engine’s rumble is addictive, adding just the right amount of drama to the driving experience. Around town, the battery-only mode has been super convenient, especially with my home charger (I also own a BMW iX, so I’m used to EV benefits).

There’s a learning curve with the infotainment system—I’m still exploring all the features. Unfortunately, my car doesn’t have the Dolby Atmos system, which might be due to my seat selection. It also omitted the fragrance option (there are holes in the glove box where it should be). I’ve inquired about retrofit options, so we’ll see!

Next week, I’m getting Ceramic Pro Ultimate installed, and I’ll post some pictures once that’s done. Honestly, I think this car is a keeper. It’s the perfect mix of tech, luxury, and timeless design—because, let’s face it, no one’s going to say, “Let me restore this Tesla” 20 years from now!

Would love to hear thoughts from other E53 owners—especially on retrofits or must-know tips. Respec!

As an alternative for about $5 you might consider Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic was:

I have Ceramic Pro Ultimate installed on my BMW iX, and the results have been outstanding. Even after 2.5 years, the car looks just as pristine as the day it left the dealership.

What really sets Ceramic Pro Ultimate apart is its lifetime warranty and the fact that it’s added to the Carfax report.. While a ceramic coating like this is a larger upfront investment compared to a wax, I believe it’s worth it for the long-term protection and peace of mind it provides.

Thanks for your suggestion tho!

My dealer quoted me $4500 for ceramic inside and out. (Not sure what the inside is supposed to be).
I quickly declined.

I would not use the dealer. They push installers to do it quickly and cheep due to volume. Go with an independent company although it's expensive no matter where you go. Ceramic coating inside is for the seats and carpet. It will help with stains and dirt getting into the materials. It's the least expensive parts to do. The cost for ceramic coating or PPF is mostly in the meticulous prep work of the car. The paint correction and decontamination take a lot of labor. Even on new cars.

I decided to replace my Audi with this E53. I have mixed feelings. I like the E53, and I like the way it feels. Having said this, the Audi was also very friendly and much more straightforward in terms of technology. There was no need for complicated instructions and combinations of pressing buttons. The MB technology is like trying to decipher hieroglyphics after a few too many cups of coffee. Every button you press seems to have a secret mission as if they're all part of an undercover operation! Honestly, who needs that many hidden functions? It's like the car plays a game of hide and seek every time I want to turn on the AC or the music! Porsche and Audi are like that straightforward friend who tells you what they want for dinner, " I am craving pizza", instead of sending you down a rabbit hole of "I don't know, what do you want?"

For the Ceramic Pro I got quoted 2,398.00 for both inside and out side including uv blocking tint. initially I was going to wrap it and the quote on that was 6,150.00.

Ceramic coating on carpets???

Ceramic coating on seats????

Prep on a brand new car???

Guys it is a car: it is going to be driven in rain, sleet, snow, dirt and mud.

Believe it or not it is going to get dirty. You are going to have to wash it. You will even have dents and dings!

It is not a museum piece: stop treating like it is: I cannot imagine spending 5% of the cost of a car, $4,500, putting a protective film on it, when for $5 as I posted you get 90% of the protection.

We all remember the time when plastic covers where put on coaches to protect them. Do not do the same with you car.

Drive it! Enjoy it! Keep it clean and mechanically sound: each spring and fall spend $5 putting the Meguiar's Ceramic Wax on your car.

got ya! I had just assumed you meant a wrap. I’m going to save some money and apply it myself. I ordered the white matte and plan on coating it with Gyeon Matte Evo. I’m super nervous about getting the matte paint.
