How is the video quality from the dashcam?

I have an over 11-yr old Blackvue, and I'm debating if I install it or activate the MB one on the car. The MB one is well integrated so I expect better reliability compared to such an old one, and I just saw it could start recording automatically compared to manual start as some online reviews said. So the only question I'd like to ask: how is the video quality, especially when it's dark?

Good question, I know the dashcams in older MBs with the dashcam option is in 720p and no sound. I am hoping the W214 improved that.

I think W214 has a 1080p? No idea about audio recording...

Only way to find out is if an owner looks at the file that was recorded and check its resolution, for some reason the dealer ordering guide and MBUSA only lists it as "high resolution" cam.

It's 1080p but no sound and only front. I'll post a video of day and night for everyone to see. It's not bad but not as good as the Blackvue I had in my last car. It does include a timestamp, GPS coordinates, and speed.

My understanding is that the Mercedes-Benz Dashcam is 720p with a 30hz refresh rate, and is USB compatible.

Thanks for confirming. The beauty thing with MB solution is that it is all integrated.

Yes, the previous ones were 720P just not sure if they improved it on the W214.
