Unable to access internet when MBUX WiFi is on

I have owned a 2024 E450 for about 6 months. Since taking delivery, I have had an issue either access the internet or various apps when the MBUX WiFi is connected. I have a home security system app which I use to turn on the system when I leave the house. I have to turn off WiFi in order to access this app and turn on the alarm. I don't have this problem in my Porsches. Appreciate any advice/recommnedations. Thanks.

Make sure your phone isn't connected to the MBUX Wi-Fi. If it is, disconnect and forget the network connection. If you want to use the car's Wi-Fi, you have to subscribe to the hotspot which is a separate monthly subscription. You don't need to connect to the car's Wi-Fi for wireless CarPlay/AA. Those systems manage the Wi-Fi connection on their own separate from the hotspot connection.

Thanks for the quick response. I do turn off the MBUX when I have to access these apps. But I receive a message if I want to turn on Carplay. Based on what you said, if I say Yes and turn it on, the MBUX WiFi should not turn on. Correct?

What I'm saying is that on your iPhone, go to Settings | Wi-Fi and make sure it's not connected to the MBUX Wi-Fi. If it is, tap on i, then tap Forget This Network. You don't want to turn off Wi-Fi in the MBUX itself.
